Forthcoming Exhibition
Major one-man show of Andrew Dibben's paintings at The Gallery, Picturecraft, in Lees Yard, Holt, North Norfolk, starting on Friday 29th August 2014.
The exhibition commemorates Andrew's 25 years as a full-time professional artist, and 45 years since enrolling at the then Norwich School of Art (now Norwich University of the Arts).
There will be two main themes in this exhibition: the small wooden working boats of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast, and the landscape of Kelling and Salthouse Heaths. These are both endangered subjects: wooden boats are fast disappearing from our coastline, while Norfolk has lost 90% of its heathland over the last 200 years. The British Isles hold the majority of Europe's heathland.
