Floodlit Tug and a Crescent Moon Watercolour 27 x 37cm image dimensions The waterfront of Hall Quay and South Quay in Great Yarmouth is always exciting by night,  with numerous ships lit up with floodlights, the atmosphere of travel, strange maritime  hardware,  and curious dockside silos and drilling equipment. The river always flows with a frightening power along here.

Steam Drifter Lydia Eva

The Lydia Eva by Night, Great Yarmouth  25 x 35cm Lydia Eva is the last remaining steam drifter from Great Yarmouth's huge fleet of fishing vessels. She is preserved by a Trust, and can be visited. She is one of the stars of the Great Yarmouth  Maritime Festival  each year.

Forthcoming Exhibition

Major one-man show of Andrew Dibben's paintings at The Gallery , Picturecraft, in Lees Yard, Holt, North Norfolk , starting on Friday 29th August 2014. The exhibition commemorates Andrew's 25 years as a full-time professional artist, and 45 years since enrolling at the then Norwich School of Art (now Norwich University of the Arts). There will be two main themes in this exhibition: the small wooden working boats of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast, and the landscape of Kelling and Salthouse Heaths. These are both endangered subjects: wooden boats are fast disappearing from our coastline, while Norfolk has lost 90% of its heathland over the last 200 years. The British Isles hold the majority of Europe's heathland.
